First Manhattan Co. provides investment management services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, retirement accounts and institutional clients. Their clients interface directly with a portfolio manager who has the expertise and experience needed to make appropriate unbiased investment decisions on their behalf. Their client relationships are typically long-term. For many clients, they are managing accounts of the second and third generation. Cullinane was tasked with bringing a fresh new look and feel to their messaging and positioning, brand identity, website and marketing collateral.


Cullinane first initiated a messaging and brand positioning exercise in order to define more accurately -- and honestly, what First Manhattan represented. Building on the contents of that document, Cullinane created a targeted brand identity presentation consisting of several concepts which embodied the new positioning. Once chosen, a stationery system, PowerPoint template, capabilities brochure and website followed.
