Initially owned by Knight Capital Group and subsequently spun off two years later as the rebranded Direct Edge ECN, the company asked Cullinane to develop a brand positioning and messaging communications strategy, new brand identity, tagline, graphic standards and direct mail for the newly created entity.

Through meetings with the key principals, stakeholders, client and investors, Cullinane created and presented a new positioning and messaging document which drove all future communications. The new logo depicted a three dimensional "D" with many facets which tied in with their new tagline.
